I was reading an article recently about big companies domain names that have a lot of traffic. First of all, it should be no surprise that Alphabet Inc, a company created through corporate restructuring of Google has domains with the most traffic. In fact, the 422 domains that Alphabet Inc reached 119 billion visitors per month. Do you think Google knows what they are doing with the domains they own?
Furthermore, Microsoft, another tech Giant had the second most traffic which reached 7 billion visitors across those domains. For this reason, it’s important to own domain names to own domain traffic, which will ultimately get those domains in front of the right eyeballs. For this reason, it again goes to show you the value in owning the right domain names. As @domainking says: “Can someone build THEIR dream on your domain name?” This is the first and last question you should ask yourself. If you buy a domain name just because it sounds good for the moment, and can’t flip it later, it’s mostly because a business can’t build their dreams on it.
